Barney Goodman specializes in resolution of business and construction disputes, mechanics liens, real estate, foreclosures, and contract, corporate and employment disputes as well assisting clients in their business and real estate transactions.
Barney litigates in state and federal courts and frequently does appellate work in the Virginia Supreme Court. He is often called upon to give expert testimony on the topics of real estate law and attorney fees. Mr. Goodman has served as Chairman of the Judicial Screening, Long Range Planning and Professionalism Committees of the Fairfax Bar Association. Mr. Goodman is AV®-Rated by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer-Review Ratings, the highest rating available for excellence in legal ethics and practice.
In 1969, Barney was certified by the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General JAG Staff in Fort Eustis, Virginia. From 1971 to 1975, he served as Trial Counsel in the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C.
He lives in Vienna, Virginia with his family.
